Suprise For Branch Line Weekend

When a record number of visitors to the Kent & East Sussex Railway's Branch Line weekend arrived, they found that the P class locomotive no 753 had been turned to face Bodiam. K&ESR took the opportunity to turn the loco when it returned from its trip to the Bluebell Railway, until it departs to CFBS later this month to appear in the French railway's fete de vapeur.

Visitor numbers saw a 10% increase on last year's event, and this year there was no guest engine, with the K&ESR's P class, Terrier No 3 operating an all steam passenger timetable enhanced by diesel freight train workings.
