Celebrate Thomas' 65th Anniversary in style at the Kent & East Sussex Railway

As the only venue in South-East England chosen to host this extra special 'Party With Thomas' the K&ESR offers the ultimate day out for every Thomas fan!

Tickets are available both online and by telephone for the event taking place on Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th July.

From the minute the gates open every visitor will be made to feel special. There are free gifts and stickers for every child whilst every activity at Tenterden Station is also free to enjoy, even the face painting and roundabout rides!

No party would be complete without a cake and true to this tradition Thomas will be presented with an anniversary cake each day.

Other free to enjoy activities include competition 'spot prizes', an imagination station for creating and colouring, and a big TV screening of 'Hero of the Rails'. These combined with a one hour, fifteen minute steam train ride with on-board entertainment and a unique photographic opportunity to discover amount to a truly brilliant value-for-money day out!

The fun actually starts before the visit as families are invited to make and bring along their very own homemade 'Thomas' and especially for the children who will be sent an anniversary card to colour and complete to bring for Thomas on the day!

At 12.25 each day, families can choose to enjoy a 'Lunch trip with Daisy' when on board children are given a special lunch box. Tickets are £12.50 per child and adult, (no lunch box for adults)

In the refreshment rooms at Tenterden station, visitors can enjoy a variety of hot and cold meals supplemented by a delicious take away BBQ.

The Kent & East Sussex Railway are already preparing for "Thomas'" visit and on their website children can download pictures of Thomas and his Friends to colour in.

Fares include a one hour return train journey as well as all the activities shown above. Adult: £12.50 Child: 18 months -15 years inclusive £ 9.50

Those wishing to make their day extra special can upgrade their ticket to a first class seat for an extra £3 per adult and £2 per child. Babies under 18 months are free of charge, providing they do not occupy a seat.

• On each of the "Days Out with Thomas" No refunds will be given for missed trains and seats on later trains cannot be guaranteed and will be subject to an administration charge of £2 per person.
• All activities are taking place at Tenterden Town station which has a spacious car park, free to visitors.
• The railway caters for disabled and elderly visitors and has special carriages fitted with ramped wheel chair access, wide aisles and moveable seating. There are toilets for the disabled at Tenterden station and allocated parking spaces.
• Tenterden is situated on the A28 between Ashford and Hastings.
