Swing back to the 70's at the Kent & East Sussex Railway
For anyone who remembers the clothes and the music or simply just wants to have a swinging time, head down to the Kent & East Sussex Railway on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July for a weekend of 70's fun!
At Tenterden station on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, visitors can enjoy performances from high energy six-piece band Barking Ted, a professional live entertainment band renowned for their groovy 70's show.
Barking Ted will be performing their entertaining three hour show, Abbasolutely 70's, which is packed full of retro costumes, platform shoes, glitzy wigs and state of the art equipment including vertical foggers and bubble machines, guaranteed to whisk visitors back to the hip 70's.
Visitors will also be able to re live a few fond memories as they admire a variety of period cars and buses which will be on display throughout the weekend.
There will also be an alternate steam and diesel train service running on both days. Visitors can board the vintage trains at Northiam, Bodiam or Tenterden station and enjoy a nostalgic journey through stunning countryside. Please see website for train times.
Tickets are: Adult £12.80, Senior Citizen £11.80, Child (3 - 15 years inc.) £7.80 and Family (2 adults + up to 3 children or 1 adult and up to 4 children) £34.00.

Groups are very welcome on the railway and the staff are happy to help organise eventful days out in the area. The railway also caters for disabled and elderly visitors and has special carriages fitted with ramped wheel chair access, wide aisles and moveable seating. There are toilets for the disabled at all three stations and allocated parking spaces at the Tenterden town and Northiam station.
