Come and experience one of Kent's best loved attractions this Christmas with a journey on the popular Santa Specials, which combines a nostalgic steam train ride and a meeting with Santa Claus!
The Kent & East Sussex Railway began running the Santa Specials 36 years ago and this annual event has grown in popularity every year.
The festive fun starts when you arrive at Tenterden Station to the sound of traditional pipe organ music before boarding a beautifully decorated steam train for an exciting 1 hour return journey to Wittersham Road.
On board families will meet Santa Claus and every child will receive an age appropriate quality gift from the pixies all included in the ticket price.
Back at Tenterden the day continues with a ride on a miniature railway which takes you to meet the beautiful snow queen where you can have your picture taken which is included in the ticket price.
Also at Tenterden Station there are free rides on a Victorian carousel and, for a small additional cost, you can play on the 1950's penny slot machines and enjoy a delicious BBQ.
When booking a Santa Special ticket there is also an option to hire one of the railway's luxury vintage carriages for a private trip, ideal for groups of friends, families and work colleagues. The private carriage experience also includes a named present from Father Christmas.
