Annual CAMRA Real Ale & Cider Festival - Saturday 16 June

This popular social event takes place between 11:00am and 10:30pm (or until the beer runs out!) and is organised with the Ashford, Folkestone and Romney Marsh Branch of CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale. Try a diverse range of some of the finest Ale, Cider and Perry in the exclusive beer tent, or relaxing and listening to an eclectic mix of live music.

The Kent & East Sussex Railway is running an appeal to raise £200,000 to double the capacity of the main carriage maintenance building at Tenterden station. The expansion is needed to provide sufficient high quality trains to operate the current train time table which carries 90,000 passengers annually.

Halloween Fun and Fright Nights at
the Kent & East Sussex Railway

Take a Spooky steam train ride on the Halloween and Fright Night steam trains at the Kent & East Sussex Railway in Tenterden this October.

There will be plenty of spine tingling tricks and treats during 'Halloween fun week' from Monday 25 to Friday 29 October. Enjoy spooktacular entertainment at Tenterden Station and join in the 'make and take' activities, including the pumpkin carving workshop. All activities are included in the ticket price. Fares £34 for a family, adults £12.80, Senior £11.80, children £7.80.

As the clock strikes 6pm on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 October take a ride from Tenterden to Bodiam Station on the popular 'Fright Night Train'. Enjoy scary face painting, 'make and take' activities and pumpkin carving at Tenterden Station from 4:30pm. Once onboard, be prepared to be frightened silly with ghostly goings on at stations and a firework display with a few surprises along the way. Every child will also receive a delicious snack box for the all-inclusive ticket price of £14. Booking essential.

Families are encouraged to come in fancy dress, the scarier the better!

On Fright Nights families can also enjoy scary face painting and join in the pumpkin carving workshop at Tenterden Station from 4:30pm. The stations restaurant will remain open until 6pm and visitors can choose from delicious light meals and snacks.
