Enjoy an action packed May half term at the Kent & East Sussex Railway
The whole family can enjoy fun packed activity days with the Kent & East Sussex Railway during the May half term 31 May to 3 June. All activities are Free when you purchase a train ticket.
The four days of fun and games will take place at Tenterden station between 10am and 4:30pm. Children can enjoy arts and crafts events throughout the day and a bouncy castle.
There is also a special offer throughout fun week when the Railway's family ticket will cost only £30 instead of £37 (2 adults and up to 3 children or 1 adult and up to 4 children).
The Kent & East Sussex railway stretches over 10 ½ miles between Tenterden and Bodiam stations and visitors of all ages will love the excitement of travelling on one of the country's finest rural light railways.

Families can extend their day and explore the many wonderful delights on offer in the towns surrounding each station. At Tenterden, discover the impressive play park and intriguing shops, or relax and unwind in one of the many cafes and pubs along the idyllic High Street.
Perhaps consider a visit to the south-east's newest attraction, The Mill Toy and Pedal Car Museum which can be found directly opposite Northiam station. Visitors presenting a valid Kent & East Sussex Railway ticket will be treated to £1 per person off the standard admission charge (Adults: £4.00, Senior Citizens: £3.50, Children: £3.00)
At Bodiam station, the magnificent medieval castle is only a short walk and visitors can step back in history as they explore the impressive battlements and towers, which offer breathtaking views across the countryside. Visitors presenting a valid Kent & East Sussex Railway ticket will be treated to discounted castle admission (Adults: £5.80 Children: £2.90)
Tenterden and Northiam are situated on the A28 between Ashford and Hastings and both stations have spacious car parks which are free. Please note that there is no parking at Bodiam Station so passengers are advised to park and ride from Tenterden or Northiam.
Ticket: Adult £13.50, Senior Citizen £12.50, Child (3 - 15 years inc.) £8.50 and Family (2 adults + up to 3 children or 1 adult and up to 4 children) £37.00 with the discount for half term week a family tickets will be only £30.

- The Kent and East Sussex Railway is one of the country's finest examples of a rural light railway. The line gently wends its way from Tenterden - "The Jewel of The Weald" for ten and a half miles, through the unspoilt countryside of the Rother Valley, to terminate in the shadow of the magnificent National Trust castle at Bodiam.
