Press Release September 2011
Meet Santa on board the Kent & East Sussex Railway
Meet Santa at one of Kent's best loved attractions this Christmas when you take a magical steam train journey at The Kent & East Sussex Railway's popular Santa Specials.
When you arrive at Tenterden Station enjoy the sounds of the pipe organ and free rides on the Victorian carousel.
On board the beautifully decorated steam train families will meet Santa Claus during the hour long return journey to Wittersham Road. Children should also look out for the pixies whose sacks are full of lovely presents. Every child will receive an age appropriate quality gift to take home and put under the tree.
After your train ride the fun continues at Tenterden Station with a ride on the miniature railway which takes everyone to meet the beautiful Snow Queen for a photograph. Each family member will receive their very own 6" x 4" colour photograph as a memento of their day.
For a small additional cost, have fun playing on the 1950's penny slot machines, whilst enjoying a delicious burger from the BBQ.
Why not book your own luxury vintage carriage exclusively for your family or a group of friends or work colleagues. The private carriage experience includes a named present from Santa Claus for each child.
Early booking is recommended to secure your chosen date through the website or by calling 01580 765155.
All prices include an hour long train ride with Santa, a present for each child, a ride on the miniature railway and a photograph with the Snow Queen.
