Vacancy for Catering Supervisor
The Kent & East Sussex Railway is one of the South East's top tourist attractions and one of England's top heritage railways. We have a vacancy for a Catering Supervisor working predominantly in our Station Refreshment Rooms at Tenterden Town Station. The role will support the Catering Manager in ensuring the effective and productive management of the Company's catering outlets.
Your focus will be to supervise and take a leading role in food preparation & cooking, stock control and cash handling. You will be taking responsibility for a small team of staff, ensuring legislative compliance & the provision of great customer service. You will ensure that the team consistently achieve excellent standards in food quality & hygiene, presentation, productivity and customer service. You will need to use your skills to maximise sales and minimise waste. Your will be required to ensure the availability of products throughout specified periods and the maintenance of attractive displays at all times.
As the successful applicant, you will have previous experience of a catering operation, possess the ability to prepare and produce a range of snacks, meals, desserts by both short order and high volume and have previous supervisory experience. Excellent communication skills are an essential requirement to effectively guide the work of both volunteer and seasonal staff.
